Virgin wool is the wool taken from a lamb’s first shearing. This first lot of wool from a lamb is the finest and softest wool taken from a sheep during its life.
Or it is wool that has not been processed or woven. Basically any wool that has not been recycled. In this case, the virgin wool can come from an adult sheep.
It is soft and very light due to the absence of pre-processing, so the products from this yarn are quite warm.
The main characteristics of Virgin Wool are as follows:
the fineness of the pile, which does not exceed 20 microns, which is several times thinner than a human hair;
natural shine, preserved due to manual shearing of sheep and the absence of subsequent processing;
the beauty of the material due to the fact that the pile is sheared from a merino breed of sheep, which is considered one of the most elite breeds.
Cashmere is one of the most expensive wool in the world. A very light, delicate, warm fiber that shines like silk. Thin cashmere insulates heat very well – a soft and dense fabric, even if not thicker than a couple of millimeters, warms even at an outside temperature of -40 °. Cashmere perfectly retains its shape, does not stretch, does not fade, and with proper care it lasts for many years, so it is excellent for the production of outerwear and coats.
